About the Bible. The Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God, without error in the original manuscripts, and our final authority in matters of faith and life (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21, Psalm 119:105).
About God. There is one God, the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He eternally exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1, 26, Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:13).
About Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is both fully God and fully human. He came to earth, lived a sinless life, and redeemed us by His death on the cross. He rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven’s glory, and will return again to earth to reign as Lord of Lords and complete the building of His Kingdom (Matthew 1:18-25, John 1:1-4, 14, Romans 9:5, Acts 1:9-11, Titus 2:13).
About the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit dwells in every believer and provides the power for living, understanding spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Holy Spirit's supernatural gifts are available and operative today for all Christians (John 14:16-17, 16:7-13, Acts 2, 1 Corinthians 12:1-31, 14:1-25, Romans 12).
About Human Nature. Man is made in the spiritual image of God but fell into sin. Our sinful human nature is redeemed only through a saving faith in Jesus Christ. We are made right with God when we repent of our sin, place our trust in Jesus, and commit our lives to Him (Genesis 1:26-27, 26-27, 3:1,24, Romans 3:23-25, 5:12-18, 1 John 1:8-10).
About Salvation. Christ alone provides salvation. Only by trusting God’s offer of forgiveness through His Son can we be saved from sin’s penalty. Salvation is a free gift from God to man through grace and not a reward for good deeds. We receive eternal life from the moment we confess our faith in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus (John 5:24, 14:6, Acts 4:12, Romans 3:27-28, Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9).
About Eternity. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence. Man will either exist eternally in Hell separated from God by sin, or eternally with God in Heaven through forgiveness and salvation (John 3:16, Matthew 8:2-9, 25:44-46, Romans 6:23, Revelations 20:15, 1 John 2:25, 5:11-13).
About the Church. There is one true Church made up of all who believe in Christ as Lord. The primary purpose of the Church is to advance the Kingdom of God (Romans 12:4-6, 15:7, Ephesians 2:19-22, 4:4-6, Hebrews 10:24-25).
About Prayer. Jesus sacrificed His life to make us pure and holy and worthy of coming into the presence of His Father. Through prayer, all believers can go boldly into the throne room of God and receive His grace and mercy. God hears and answers our prayers (James 5:16, Hebrews 4:16, 10:22, Matthew 18:18-20).
About Sanctification. Becoming a Christian leads to a lifelong process of growth in selfless love, humility, service, stewardship, and holiness under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Change and growth are not optional for those saved by grace. Because a good tree bears good fruit, people justified by grace through faith act on that faith and will change and grow in Christ (2 Corinthians 3:18, 5:17, James 1:22, 2:17, Romans 12:2, Ephesians 4:22-24).
